I know I'm supposed to comment about red-carpet fashions but I must start with Paris Hilton's hair. Is she 26 or 56? Don't get me wrong, I love her short 'do when it's straight but this wavy look is all wrong. Her Dolce & Gabbana dress is foxy, but nothing we haven't seen before. Love it or hate it?

Love It or Hate It? Paris Hilton's Short Waves

Paris Hilton is an awesome friend
Paris Hilton announced that Christina Aguilera is pregnant to a crowded Club LAX in Las Vegas over the weekend. While Christina has been seen with a noticeable bump, she has not yet publicly confirmed the pregnancy. Fortunately saints like Paris Hilton exist and have no sense of decorum. Us Magazine reports:
"Congratulations to the most beautiful pregnant woman in the world, you're gorgeous," Hilton, 26, said to the packed crowd, while Aguilera, 26 (whose video 'Candy Man' is up for Best Director at the MTV VMAs) sat nearby in uncomfortable silence.
Paris then went on to announce other obvious facts including the sky is blue, the grass is green and she has herpes. And also something about my abs being incredibly chiseled. I believe "sculpted steel" were her exact words.
Hallmark Could Take Away Paris Hilton's Hotness
Last Thursday, Paris Hilton filed suit in a U.S. District Court in Los Angeles against Hallmark for the card company's use of her likeness and her trademarked catch phrase, "That's hot," on a greeting card. Those creative geniuses at Crown Center pissed off Paris' people when they started selling a $2.49 card with a cartoon captioned "Paris' First Day as a Waitress." Hilton's face is superimposed over the face of a waitress, who is handing food to a patron and explaining, "That's hot."
Hilton has a trademark on those two words. The registered them in 2006 (claiming that she first used the phrase "that's hot" on September 20, 2006 ) for use on her line of men's and women's clothing.
Hilton seeks $500,000 in punitive damages resulting from an invasion of her privacy and misappropriation of her image, and wants to prevent Hallmark from using her likeness ever again. Hilton's lawsuit contends that Hallmark is diluting the value of her catchphrase and image, and infringing on her ability to use it for commercial gain.
Sensing a delicious celebrity scandal, we called up an attorney with the Intellectual Property Center, LLC, headquartered on Ward Parkway. Art Shaffer, who is not involved in the Hilton-Hallmark lawsuit, told us that trademark law is in place mostly to protect consumers from being confused in the marketplace by too-similar brands (to make sure that the Rolex they're buying is really a Rolex, for example). The way Shaffer sees it, "That's hot" is a generic phrase that has been used by countless people, countless times prior to September 2006. "Her claim of exclusive ownership of the phrase for use on clothing is a tenuous position to be in," he said.Hilton's trademark reminds Shaffer of Donald Trump's trade marking of the phrase "You're Fired" after successful seasons of his reality show The Apprentice.
"There is a claim of ownership one has to his or her image. There was a famous case involving Vanna White and an intellectual property right she claimed to her image… But as a famous person, you have a certain degree of fewer rights, because you can't stop people from reporting the news, you can't prevent people from making satirical works and parody by commenting on the times in a way that people can understand what they're saying. The idea of trademark law is that although you want to encourage companies to invest and protect brand recognition of goods and services, you don't want to take away from the public's ability to comment on goods and services."
One can only assume that Hilton's Hollywood attorneys are the best that money can buy. But if Hallmark fights Hilton in court and wins, the heiress stands to lose her claim to her catchphrase.
If a crappy $2.49 card can yoink a $20 million dollar heiress' trademark phrase, that would be hot. Nadia Pflaum
Ooops! Paris Hilton Spills Christina Aguilera’s Pregnancy
Christina Aguilera is pregnant. Did you know that? I didn't know that. But thanks to the genius, blissfully oblivious Paris Hilton who recently spilled the beans in front of hundreds at the LAX nightclub in the Luxor, and TMZ caught it on video.
I want everyone to say congratulations to the most beautiful pregnant woman in the world, Christina Aguilera. You're gorgeous!
According to People:
Aguilera, who has never confirmed being pregnant despite a visible bump beneath her pink chiffon mini-dress, appeared temporarily shocked as she sat in her perch in the elevated VIP booth. She sank her head into the shoulder of husband Jordan Bratman as her friends looked stunned.
I can only imagine the look on Christina's face. She should've just punched Paris in the face. Or sue her for disclosing personal information without prior permission. The same way Paris is suing Hallmark. That would be quite ironic. But that's what you get for telling Paris Hilton things. A dumbass that brings a whole new meaning to the phrase ignorance is bliss .
Paris Hilton Confirms Christina Aguilera’s Pregnancy
Oops! Brain donor Paris Hilton, probably all sloppy dunk, confirmed Christina Aguilera's pregnancy at a club in Las Vegas this morning.
"Congratulations to the most beautiful pregnant woman in the world. You're gorgeous," Hilton announced at about 2 a.m. Sunday at an Aguilera-hosted party at LAX Nightclub in the Luxor.
I know we all know she's prego, look at what she's wearing. But Christina hasn't officially announced it. Leave it to Paris.

See? Paris Hilton’s Not Racist.
Paris parties it up with 50 Cent at TAO in Las Vegas. Everyone's there in preparation for the VMAs … including Britney Spears, who was at the same club with BFF Alli Sims. No report of a catfight yet, but no pics of the two of them together. And what the hell is Britney doing out last night? Her big comeback performance at the VMAs is today. Shouldn't she be resting?? Come on, Brit!!!

Hilton Sues Card Company
The hotel heiress filed her lawsuit against Hallmark Cards in Los Angeles' Federal District Court on Thursday, citing invasion of privacy and misappropriating her image.
She is seeking more than $500,000 in damages and a permanent injunction preventing Hallmark from further using her name and likeness.
According to the lawsuit, Hallmark's card features Hilton's face superimposed on top of a cartoon waitress serving food. The catchphrase reads: 'Don't touch that, it's hot. What's hot? That's hot.'

Paris Hilton Buys $5.9M Beverly Hills House
The new place, built in 1991, is said to offer more privacy, as well as five bedrooms, 5½ bathrooms and a fitness room that Hilton intends to convert into a shoe closet, her uncle and real-estate agent, Mauricio Umansky of Hilton & Hyland (which is affiliated with Christie's Great Estates), tells the paper.
The Mediterranean-style house on more than three-quarters of an acre was also a bit of a bargain for Hilton: $5.9 million, which was below the original $6.25 million asking price.
Her uncle also says that Hilton looked at more than a dozen properties before settling upon this one, which also offers shared tennis courts.
Her former residence, which went on the market in July for $4.25 million, has been sold to an unidentified buyer who has signed a purchase contract for $4.2 million, says the Journal.

Meanwhile, Hilton currently is in Toronto, where the annual film festival opened Thursday night.
In the wee hours of Thursday morning she was inside a Queen Street West hot spot called Ultra Supper Lounge, which was promoting Rich Prosecco, a fruity sparkling beverage for which she serves as spokesperson.
Paris Hilton Having a Baby in 2008
Although lately Paris Hilton has been spotted dancing on various nightclub podiums, it has been revealed that she has said "I want kids next year, so I've got to get my body ready".
Planning to get pregnant in 2008, this would be one of the biggest changes to Paris Hilton's life.
I cannot help wonder if this news has anything to-do with her Simple Life co-star Nicole Richie being 4 months pregnant (is she just feeling broody).
The only problem I can see with Paris Hilton's plan is the fact that she is currently single, so anyone looking to be with the heiress and wanting kids can line up this way.
Paris Hilton picks out baby names, London or Paris Jr.
Hilton is so serious about having children; she has even picked out names. "If I had a child I would name him London. I used to have a cat named London. I like the name Paris Jr., too," the 26-year-old said.
"I love babies. I'd like three or four," she added.
Hilton announced she wanted children after pal and 'Simple Life' so-star Nicole Richie got pregnant earlier this year with her first child.
A gestating Paris Hilton "everybody's ultimate nightmare": poll
Beverly Hills, California - (Ass Mess & ReUterus): A pregnant Paris Hilton is most people's ultimate nightmare according to a poll of what would most frighten reality-tv watchers today.
The report follows news that when Paris finally finds herself gestating - maybe later in the year! - a Los Angeles tv studio will pay her $5 million for a daily blog-style reality show documenting her every living breath.
This would include hot-button topics such as gynecological changes to the blond heiress, psychological analysis of impending motherhood and all the latest pregnancy and birth care techniques which Hilton may wish to promote as part of a commercial package sponsoring her journey to parenthood.
For some, however, the thought of a pregnant Paris is about as palatable as Jenna Bush's own speculated gestation.
"What kind of chimera would want to use either of these women's reproductive organs for their own incubation?" an LA networking website asked today.
What kind indeed?
Hated Hollywood Gossip Perez Hilton
ON WHAT'S SURELY HOLLYWOOD'S most-hated blog, Perez Hilton shovels star scandals and scrawls his trademark white doodles on paparazzi pics. Living up to his self-styled title of " Queen of All Media," the gossip gangster (real name Mario Lavandeira Jr.) is taking to the tube with his own VH1 show, " What Perez Sez," premiering Sept. 11 at 9 p.m.
» EXPRESS: What can we expect from the show?
» PEREZ HILTON: It's going to be a series of one-hour specials jam-packed with celebrities. Hopefully, I'll make a couple people cry. Just kidding.
» EXPRESS:Are you nervous to be out there in front of the camera?
» PEREZ HILTON: Not at all. I was born to be on camera. I'm going to be the gay Barbara Walters of VH1.
» EXPRESS: Speaking of Walters, you were recently on "The View," and the women accused you of being mean to poor celebs. Did you expect that?
» PEREZ HILTON: I wasn't expecting it. They totally went off script, and that's fine — I can think on my feet. They kept bringing it up over and over again. I had to just kind of shut up, which is really rare for me.
» EXPRESS: This year seems to be full of crazy celebrity scandals. Which do you find to be the most intriguing?
» PEREZ HILTON: The four most talked about people of the year have definitely been Britney Spears , Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie. They are all inextricably linked. I call it "Girls Gone Wild: Hollywood Edition."
» EXPRESS: Do stars ever confront you?
» PEREZ HILTON: Recently, I was really surprised by Roseanne. She wrote a MySpace rant how she wanted to shoot me. That';s pretty serious stuff. I mean, I dish it, so I can take it. You can call me fat, ugly or stupid, but don't wish physical violence against me.
» EXPRESS: What does it take for famous folks to get on your good side?
» PEREZ HILTON: I love people who have a sense of humor, who don't take themselves too seriously and who are talented. If you have just two out of those three, I'll probably like you.
» EXPRESS: You seem to have sources for every story. Where do you find them?
» PEREZ HILTON: Sometimes they'll come to me, and that's always nice. But I have a lot of friends, and they're my best sources.
» EXPRESS: You're also on MTV's "Celebrity Rap Superstar." (Thursdays at 10 p.m.) Every great rapper has a rival, so who would P-Nasty's be?
» PEREZ HILTON: Avril Lavigne. But I would write my own rhymes.
» EXPRESS: Who is the man behind the curtain?
» PEREZ HILTON: I think the real me does shine through every once in a while. I love music, so whenever I talk about musicians, that's the real Mario.
» EXPRESS: You're always dyeing your hair and making wild fashion choices. What influences your style?
» PEREZ HILTON: I love color — it's very powerful. Some of the things I wear are silly and over-the-top, and it's on purpose. I don't take fashion too seriously.
» EXPRESS: You were just in D.C. hosting Hot 99.5's Little Black Dress Party. Who looks best in the L.B.D.?
» PEREZ HILTON: Angelina Jolie. I think black is her signature color.
» EXPRESS: They say politics is show business for ugly people. How would you give D.C. a Hollywood makeover?
» PEREZ HILTON: I would out all of the closeted politicians, of course.

People-Hilton-Baca Story
LOS ANGELES (AP) ― In stories Aug. 27 and Aug. 28 about little public support for a recall of Los Angeles Sheriff Lee Baca, The Associated Press erroneously reported that the action was based on Baca's handling of a case involving Paris Hilton.
Andrew Ahlering, chairman of the Committee to Recall Lee Baca, said the recall wasn't prompted by a single case but rather what he described as the sheriff's mismanagement of the agency, including alleged preferential treatment of celebrities. The committee has collected only a relative handful of the 400,000 signatures needed to put a recall measure before voters.
Paris Hilton sues Hallmark over greeting card
LOS ANGELES (AFP) ― Paris Hilton is suing greeting card maker Hallmark for 500,000 dollars over a card carrying her photo and her catch-phrase 'That's Hot!,' court documents showed Friday.
In a federal lawsuit filed at US District Court in Los Angeles on Thursday, hotel heiress Hilton accuses Hallmark of misappropriating her image and invading her privacy by selling the card.
The greeting card, which went on sale earlier this year, has Hilton's face superimposed on a cartoon body and describes her "first day as a waitress."
Hilton, who made worldwide headlines earlier this year when she was jailed for violating probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case, is calling for an injunction barring Hallmark from using her name and likeness.
Hallmark, the largest greeting card manufacturer in the United States, said in a statement the cards were intended as satire.
"Some of Hallmark's new humor greeting cards are parodies of today's most popular celebrities and politicians," a statement said.
"These cards take a satirical look at news and gossip surrounding these public figures, including Paris Hilton, and we do not believe Hallmark has violated any of Miss Hilton's rights."
Hilton wants to name first child London
Socialite heiress Paris Hilton is desperate to have a baby and has already decided to name her unborn child after her pet cat London.
Hilton spoke about her plans to start a family maybe even as early as 2008 and said: "I want kids next year, so I've got to get my body ready."
Contactmusic.com reports that she is certain her first born will be a son and has already picked out two names.
She said: "If I had a child I would name him London. I used to have a cat named London. I like the name Paris Jr. too. I love babies. I'd like three or four."
Nick Lachey's Hilton partnership
Nick Lachey is set to open his own restaurant.
The former 'Newlyweds' star is going into business with Nicky Hilton and Wilmer Valderrama to open an American-style restaurant at Las Vegas' Luxor Hotel and Casino.
A source said: "It's going to be called the Company American Bistro.
"Nicky and Wilmer will be Nick's co-owners but the whole project is in partnership with Pure Management Group.
"They're opening in October."
Nicky, the younger sister of Paris Hilton, is a successful business woman and already owns her own chain of hotels.
Actor Valderrama, 27, is a notorious party boy who has previously dated Mandy Moore and Lindsay Lohan.
Lachey, 33, is a former boyband singer and ex-husband of Jessica Simpson. He is currently dating TV presenter and aspiring actress Vanessa Minnillo.
Nick is the latest in a long line of celebrities to open his own eatery.
Justin Timberlake's newly-launched New York restaurant 'Southern Hospitality' offers traditional Memphis-style recipes "like Mamma used to make".
